Lots of bullying, uncaring lazy staff and admins. Good thing this school is closing.

I have a child in his senior year at Ridgewood High School. This year is a nightmare with overcrowding and lack of teachers. I wish that we had over ridden his choice and sent him to Fivay High. Some of the better teachers that used to teach at Ridgewood, transferred to Fivay High. My son has 36 students in his A/P English Lit class. They won't let him out of it. Not a very condusive learning environment, Ridgewood administive staff!!!

Ridgewood is a 35 year old school nestled in a suburban community. The school started out as a middle school but converted to a high school about 1986. At one time, the school had the highest test scores in the county, but, because of a drastic shift in the socio-economic shift within the local community, this is no longer the case. The school is now a Title One school, with over 70% of our students receiving free or reduced lunch. The students are hardworking though and as a result, the school has risen from a D school to a B school these last two years. The students are very proud of our school, and they continuously strive to make things better. This year we were rated a Gold school for the abundance of volunteer hours contributed toward the school by both students and patents. Although many of our students go onto college, many volunteer to serve our country as members of the U.S. military. Out of this last graduating class, 24 graduates enlisted in various branches of the armed forces. We take pride in our school and the success of our students. Go Rams!
