RHS was an amazing experience for my daughter !My daughter had been in private Christian schools since pre-school and transferred to RHS for her senior year. It was a very good experience where she excelled in academics and in her dual enrollment opportunities. The counseling staff was amazing at every turn. Ms. Loudy's approach to assisting senior students with college acceptance tips and real world work scenarios was very much appreciated. The IT program at RHS is top notch ! I was a nervous private school parent that feared public school would be a step back in my daughter's education. But I am happy to say that I was wrong, wrong, wrong. RHS was the perfect end to my daughter's schooling before college. Thank you RHS !!!

I went to school here back from 2007 to 2011. I loved this school. Great teachers and faculty.

There just aren't enough bad words to describe this horrid School! For starters most of my Teacher's were absolutely terrible and they had little to NO interest in actually teaching.! However, the proud and the few that did teach were absolutely TERRIFIC! For starters My first year there I had four really great Teacher's and only two slackers. My third year there, it was just absolutely depressing and caused for me to become a bit suicidal! That year I only had two mostly great Teacher's the rest just DIDN'T care to teach at all! By my third year there I was down to having only one great Teacher! I DON'T know what school, the one reviewer was actually referring to... When they noted NO diversity. A lack of diversity as far as nationalities are concerned isn't this school's problem. In fact NOT since Clay High did I see so, much diversity and I have been to four different schools, between my three months at Clay High and my three years at Ridgeview (starting some years later!) What it is sorely lacking in at Ridgeview is a diversity of SUBJECTS to study and what they will allow for certain students to study versus other more advanced or favorited students. Sadly, for me personally I have learned much more reading, going to museums and researching current and historical events. That is since graduating, than I ever did going to School at Ridgeview or any other School I have been to! This isn't true for everyone understandably. However it's true for me! The bullying etc. at this school and others still gives me nightmares, it was just an awful experience over all and the school Counselors, that I had misfortune of dealing with including but NOT limited to Maria Littlejohn were of NO help! At least NOT in my situation, as far as my educational studies were concerned. She and one other woman who has since retired were NOT at all helpful in getting me into the proper classes to be able to better further my education from there! After all one CAN'T rightly learn anything of actual importance in classrooms where the Teachers choose to slack off and the students are permitted to go wild!

People always talk about how Ridgeview is so great, but it really isn't. Most people who claim it's great are parents who haven't even been in the school for more than an hour. They don't have an orientation, but instead you just get a printed schedule for the first day. You're left there looking around the campus that has a really bad layout. My parents were upset that they couldn't meet my teachers. People suggest you go to open house, but you see Ridgeview schedules that at the worst time of the day. The principal is overly strict and just sits in her office all day, when guidance makes schedules they mess up on a lot, the portables are old and in bad condition. I remember having a class with no ac. This is Florida, air conditioning is a necessity. Anyways, back to the list. The principal favorites teachers and caters to them, they took away English honors for 11th and 12th grade, they're taking away Latin, the food is often undercooked, and the list goes on! The only positive thing I think to say is that I have a had a handful of really good teachers.
