This is a top-notch school with top-notch teachers. I would highly recommend this school to those looking to move into the area.

I have been working at Sun Blaze since it has opened. It is more than just a building with classroom.... it is a community. Within those walls, we have created a culture where ALL students feel welcomed and loved. My colleagues and I strive to meet the needs of all students, regardless of language and academic background. Our administration has given us the support and flexibility needed to develop our classroom communities. We are a family. We have conversations. We talk things out. Our guidance counselor visits each class to help our students engage in social emotional skills. In the world we live in now, we all understand that the "whole" student is important. What is neat about Sun Blaze is that we knew that 7 years ago. As a teacher, my administration is constantly pushing me to seek out the best for our students. Sun Blaze is a school I would bring my own children to.

This school puts on a good face, but the administration does not support the teachers. When there are behavioral problems in the classroom, the administration does nothing to help. There are a lot of ESL students who do not understand any English. It is not their fault, but the administration does nothing to help these kids. They are simply dropped into a classroom and continue to be off task throughout the day. They do not listen to the teachers because they do not understand English. A more effective approach to teaching these students is needed at this school. The principal is unprofessional and does not care about the teachers at this school, and that attitude permeates many in the administration.

This is one of the best elementary schools in Florida, students excel academically and emotionally because of how well the staff is prepared, handles things and treats their students.
