Some teachers are really good but others are tired and unmotivated

This is one of the worst school on Miami if you have to pick a school near your home don't consider this school

bad leadership bad communication- no help with the principal - never available to talk. Food is really bad

My child has been in the drama magnet program for the 3rd year now (5th grade) and I'm glad I'm done with this school. Had I known they were going to play the favoritism card, I would've never put my child in this school. You see the same handful of kids getting the lead parts for all the shows. Unless you are one of those parents that doesn't work and can spend countless hours every week volunteering (aka kissing you know what) so your kid will always get picked, don't bother. It sucks when your kid comes home all sad saying "so and so got the lead part AGAIN!". They should be fair and give other students a chance too. Also be prepared to dish out alot of money for donations, food and entrance fees for different events (which are ALL MANDATORY btw). The tickets to the holiday show and end of the year are super expensive....and then the drama teacher has the audacity to say NO PICTURES ALLOWED during the show. Sorry lady, but I paid way too much money not to take a picture of my kid on stage! They even make you buy dance sneakers and tap shoes that they barely even use! The list goes on! If you don't have the extra money to put your kid in real drama classes outside of school, then by all means choose this magnet school, but know what you're getting yourself into first!
