College Park is a historic city set apart but also very close to Atlanta and all the Southern metropolis has to offer. It is conveniently located just minutes from the Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. It is the fourth largest urban historic district in Georgia with many historic buildings and it is home to the largest independent school in the United States, Woodward Academy. It has a diverse population and offers more affordable housing that many in-town Atlanta neighborhoods. College Park is also referenced in many hip hop songs and is home to several famous rappers.

The cost of living in College Park is slightly higher than the Georgia average but a bit lower than the national average. The average cost of housing is very reasonable and considerably lower than the national average.
Transportation in College Park is easy and readily available with the College Park MARTA station. It is one stop away from the Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson Airport and a popular place to park and ride to the airport with long-term parking available for a small fee. The airport is a very short drive by car and Downtown Atlanta is just 10 minutes away by car.
College Park is served by the Fulton County School System. The Fulton County Board of Education is based in College Park and within the city is the Main Street Academy for Kindergarten-8th grade, Ronald E. McNair Middle School and the Woodward Academy, the largest private school in the continental United States with students from more than 20 metro Atlanta counties and an emphasis on college preparation.
In the center of College Park is the College Park Historic District boasting hundreds of beautiful, historic homes and buildings. This metro Atlanta neighborhood has a vibrant dining scene as well with many international and ethnic options, from a Greek diner to Middle Eastern, Mexican, Ethiopian and more. Wolf Creek Amphitheater owned by Live Nation is a great entertainment and music venue that hosts events from spring to fall.
