Great I’ve always had the support from teachers and staff to give my child the necessary tools to be successful

Just went downhill after Mr. Tony came. Great teachers RAN away. The rest of the staff hates kids and use derogatory language when speaking to students. I hate that my children waisted years here. Had to have after school tutors to fill in the gaps!

My child has gone to this school for three years, and it has been a steady downhill. My child was bullied last year and the principle wanted to act like it wasn't happening. Her teacher was the worst out of all three years, I asked them to move her, and my request was denied. I am trying to put my child in a better school this year, even though I will be responsible for transportation. I want what is best for both of my children.

SCE has an excellent team of teachers and staff whose focus is to actually educate and "teach" your child. The front office staff is very welcoming and it seems as if the new Principal and VP know every child by name. It is the norm to see them both every morning in some capacity either greeting your child in the front hall, giving them a hug and saying hurry to class or saying something positive to start their day. They assist even on rainy cold days with car drop off and pick up and so you feel a sense of community. Very diverse, multicultural school and we love that our child is getting a well rounded sense of the world. Her friends are colorless which is such a gift .I have not heard of any bullying at all. The teachers are exceptional ..Miss Ruff , Miss Bourdonnay, and so many others really have your child's best interest at heart. Gifted or needing an extra push, they adapt and your child will not just learn but excel. Our daughter reads 2 grades above her grade level and exceeds the standards in both both and reading. What is amazing is that she is not alone, many, other students exceed the standards at this school. Look at the test scores, not the GS rating!
