Paulding Transit is an application-based public transportation option in Dallas, providing shuttle service to select locations like doctor’s offices, hospitals, pharmacies and shopping areas. The city of Dallas also offers quick access to major roadways for drivers, located off highway 278 with Georgia state route 61 running through the city.
Dallas is part of the Paulding County School District which consists of 19 elementary schools, nine middle schools and five high schools. The schools in Dallas put an emphasis on college preparation and offer dual enrollment programs, and Dallas test scores tend to rank above the Georgia state average.
Dallas is a laid-back, Southern town with plenty of entertainment options. A concert series is held throughout the year in downtown Dallas that attracts a variety of musical acts, and the weekly Dallas Farmers Market runs from spring through fall and offers produce and goods from local growers and farmers. The Dallas Theater holds concerts and theatrical productions throughout the year, and there are plenty of parks around town where locals enjoy the outdoors. Dallas also boasts access to the Silver Comet Trail, a cycling path that goes all the way to the Alabama state line in one direction and to Atlanta in the other.
