2/10: I disliked it here, coming from my old school they had so much more opportunities. This school's very limited class options for an AP student and Fine Art's section, and if you wanna graduate 2 years early its basically impossible, but you can graduate 5-6 months early as a senior. But I will say I liked some of the teachers. Overall the school here care more about their athletic students though, specifically the ones with money.

The system only offers 8 AP classes with only a 9% pass rate on standardized AP testing. The new career/college center is designed for community college courses and not challenging college level courses. College readiness is not a priority. Reading levels are below average. Math and science are pretty much nonexistent at higher levels of learning for those interested in attending a top university. The teaching staff is lacking at most levels and the ability to attract and retain high performing faculty members is not a priority. Reorganization needs to take place from the top. Recruiting leadership from more diversified and cultural epicenters would benefit this education system. The current system is just surviving on life support. The students deserve a chance and politics prevent that in this system.

DCHS has such a great emphasis on preparing students for the workforce. The Work-Based Learning program is extremely valuable to both students and local businesses.

I am a student at this high school and I am not happy. One of the teachers doesn't care what students do during class so they don't get work done. Another teacher give so many "think times" that students are getting written up for no reason (we think it's because the teacher is bored) and the other teacher is quite nice but a little over the place. The new principle is stern and fits the principle role well but she needs to figure out how this school will run. The students here are unhappy and so am I. Some are discipline and are treated as discipline but those there for middle college or credit recovery are being treated as discipline as well and it's unfair in my opinion. I guess if I had to pick what was good about the school was we get 15 min breaks between classes and Most of the students are nice to each other.
