C. W. Davis Middle School

Has not been a good year so far. Been with the district 6 years and the split of Cherokee Bluff and Davis is proving to be bad for the students of Davis.

So so. Not great so far. Don’t likenthenadministration.

We learned that a large amount of students were called out of their classrooms today and their lockers, backpacks, etc. were searched for Vaping paraphernalia and many students were suspended from having it on them. After questioning this further, we have learned that this has become a big problem at Davis Middle school. Apparently most of the kids are bringing it with them to school and are vaping regularly in the classrooms, restrooms, hallways, bus lanes, etc. We learned that even most of the cheerleaders are vaping and a few were suspended today for vaping at school. We thought our kids were being supervised while at school, but instead they are being pressured by their peers when they go to the restroom and other places throughout the school that are not being supervised. I have already been told that vaping and drugs are rampant at Flowery Branch High School but didn't realize it is now taking place at Davis middle school. They need to get some better Leadership in there quickly to get things back on the right path. This is unacceptable.

I love this school tremendously. My 12 year old never enjoyed school so much. I really like the fact that the students and techers get very involved with each other. Wonderful Wonderful school. The assistant principle is the bomb to my daughter he always checks on her to make sure shes ok. The school resource officer was very very helpful to us when we didnt know our way around. Excellent Choice thus far.
