Horrible, students don't feel there are consequences to bad behavior, so it continues and since that feel this was no one reports issues.

Not a school for kids with special needs. I'm sad to report that, though this school has a very nice principal, the effectiveness of the staff to meet our sixth grader's IEP was terrible. The teachers often fought out every attempt at getting them to help our child, and even the special education leadership seemed horribly ill-equipped. We were constantly up at the school fighting just for our child's right to a proper education according to her needs as assessed by the county. I honestly wonder if the special ed leadership has even had special education training! It's that bad. Not only was our child ridiculed instead of helped, but the bullying at the school is also out of control. How does a teaching staff allow a special needs student get bullied relentlessly without proper recourse? I'm honestly shocked at how positive this school looks on paper versus how it actually performs in reality. Needless to say, we are currently looking into other options. I strongly advise anyone with children who have special needs that don't meet the "norm" to be very cautious about their decision to send their kids to this school.

I was skeptical about moving to this school district two years ago but I must say Tapp is a wonderful school. My daughter is doing so well. The band, drama team, debate team and all the clubs and activites are great. Dr. Walker is doing a wonderful job and it shows!
