I would give this school a 10/10 it's a very good school the teachers are doing there part and it up to the parents to help out to because it takes a village to raise a child

Awful, though we had a few positive experiences. We loved principal Maclin, but she is only one person. She can't control every aspect of the school on her own. The special education aspect was unpleasant at best. We loved our teachers, but the actual case managers/coordinators need a better understanding of their responsibilities/duties. My family's experience at this school has left us with little faith in the county and the knowledge that conversations in the future need to be recorded for liability reasons. Be prepared if you have to deal with this school. You've got a 50/50 chance.

I am writing this from a different perspective. I attended Pine Ridge Elementary from 2nd through 6th grades; in fact, I was starting 2nd grade when the school first opened for the 1988/1989 school year. I then attended Salem Junior High (Stephenson Middle was being built) and then 9th-12th at Stephenson High when it opened in 1996. Yes, I was blessed to open two schools! Pine Ridge always had a very high standard for learning. Over the years, I have seen, both as a student and as a former student, the leadership change at the school. Even as the demographics of the city drastically changed (everyone knows about the unwritten "10%" rule), Pine Ridge was still expected to maintain its leadership role in being a top notch elementary school. However, without the support of the community, any school will fail. Pine Ridge was a Blue Ribbon School of Excellence while I was there and remained a School of Excellence while I matriculated at Stephenson High next door. If you want an honest assessment of the preparedness the Stephenson Road schools will give your child, I can attest personally that with parental involvement and strong administrations, you will not be disappointed. Test scores don't tell it all; in fact, they aren't comprehensive measurement tools at all. They weren't meant to be.
