This is our first year at Sugar Hill Elementary and I'm not sure if Dr. Connery knows how much of a positive impact she has had on my daughter. My daughter has never been so comfortable to come to a principal with issues or concerns. I'm so sad that Dr. Connery is leaving the school but I wish her nothing but success. My daughters 4th grade teachers Ms. Tontillo and Ms. Morrow are amazing as well! This has been our best year at any school.

This is the second year that both of my kids are enrolled to and I’m not so sure if I would like to keep them there. I believe this school is all about how high their readings are, how high the school rate is. By the way, this school’s test receives a 10 to 20 % county test curve because the students aren’t doing good. So they have to have to have this curve so they can increase their school rating. What about helping students making sure they understand the tests; therefore, the school will become better overall.

Excellent experience with all three kids from gifted to special needs. Great community school with lots of parent involvement & seasoned, caring teachers & staff.

Horrible experience. The principle called me at 3:50 one afternoon to let me know my son was hit in the bathroom. I immediately tried to call her back with no answer. I attempted to call her 3 more times and never got past leaving a message with the school secretary. My kindergarten son was not forthcoming with any information. The school lost my paperwork and my husband has not been allowed to pick up our son all year. The front office keeps saying they will send home another form. It's April and we still don't have a form. My sons teacher has difficulty handling 8 children and calls one of us in for a meeting every month. His teacher is horrible and totally incompetent. Also, in the drop off lane in the morning, the three adults who work the drop off lane do not watch the children at all they only stand there and talk to each other the whole time. Needless to say, we are selling our house and moving. Not only do we not want our son to be in this school anymore, but we don't wand any of our tax dollars going to support it.
