College students from Austin Community College and the University of Texas are out in full force as the vast majority of places cater to a younger crowd - although there are plenty of low-key bars for a quieter night.
As with most places, Govalle slows down a bit on Sundays, but not by much. Happy groups of friends spend time at the many coffee houses or enjoy brunch on a patio. Churches of all denominations dot Govalle's landscape. Sidewalks are lined with families pushing strollers enjoying an afternoon walk. Pools teem with both children and adults.
