The best neighborhood in South Durham

Karman K
We have LOVED Grandale and met some amazing neighbors who've become good friends. We look out for each other - pick up each others mail, our kids ride to their houses for playdates, we have get togethers in the cul-de-sac. It's a dream! We had a bike trailer we'd pack up with rafts and toys to play at the neighborhood pool and I would run and take the kids to the playground almost everyday. The houses are unique and lots are nicely spaced. It's so close to Southpoint mall but we also get visitors like bunnies and deer on occasion. There's a retaining pond full of turtles that we love to visit as well. It is close to area schools and at the end of the neighborhood is a sign for a new DPS elementary school. We see our neighbors with dogs out regularly and everyone is so kind. Great neighborhood for families and couples without kids as well.
