Great Park

Near the heart of the community, and next to the school of the same name, is Beacon Park. This portion of the community features a large pool facility complete with swimming lanes, free-swim areas, a separate children's pool, and lounge areas. Friends and families can congregate in the area's outdoor kitchen. This goes beyond your average charcoal BBQ—these facilities are chef quality, featuring surfaces, a sink, ranges, ovens, and more. Parasol Park also has an outdoor kitchen, so several residents within Great Park have access to outdoor cooking facilities. These neighborhoods are also agrihoods and contain communal gardens and greenhouses. Residents can partake in community gardening projects and educational programs that bring people together and connects them with their environment. There's nothing better than a community gathering with food farmed by the community residents themselves. The greenhouses feature some wonderful plant species and are tranquil places to visit and take in some fresh air. Great Park also contains some of the most modern parks and playgrounds in the region. The playgrounds have all the usual offerings -- swings, slides, and forts -- but also feature ping pong tables and a multi-purpose court. Families can spend quality time in the parks. The multi-purpose court can host games of volleyball, basketball, foursquare, tennis, and more. The proximity of the garden and greenhouse to the playground makes it easy for residents to garden or play while spending time with family and friends.
