Green Meadows is an urban neighborhood that is made up of small to moderate-sized single-family homes with a few low-rise apartment complexes throughout. Homes located near major streets and freeways will encounter more traffic and noise than homes located away from those areas. If you live near the schools or park areas, you'll also deal with some traffic with parents dropping off kids at school or at their activities. Closer to the Avalon Boulevard, Manchester Avenue, or Imperial Highway, you'll find more traffic and noise due to the bustling area consisting of restaurants, businesses, grocery stores, and local retail shops.

Most of the restaurants in Green Meadows are found along major roads like Central Avenue, Manchester Avenue, Imperial Highway, or Avalon Boulevard. These restaurants include pizza joints, fast food chains, Asian take-out, Italian-American eateries, coffee shops, fried chicken, burgers, and traditional American cuisine. There are also a few seafood restaurants nearby that offer fresh fish, crab, or shrimp specialties. An ice cream shop serving up delicious desserts is also in the area to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Green Meadows has a large population of young residents so expect to see plenty children and students playing outdoors or at the community park, heading to class, or getting dropped off at a recreation center. The neighborhood also has plenty of young families, single-parent households, and singles.

Although Green Meadows has limited nightlife and entertainment options, you can spend your Friday night checking out some of the local bars and pubs scattered throughout the area to socialize with friends. The Perfect Sunday
Spend your Sunday outdoors at one of the local parks or recreational areas in Green Meadows. You can check out the Earvin Magic Johnson County Recreation Area on 120th Street or the Green Meadows Recreation Center located between 88th Place and 89th Street. This recreation center offers plenty of activities and facilities for all residents to enjoy such as sports programs like baseball, basketball, girls softball as well as aerobics classes, after school club, cooking class, walking class, piano lessons, arts and crafts, and girls club. You may also want to visit one of the local art galleries or head to a nearby museum for a dose of culture and history.
