Grier Heights has a suburban feel and the neighborhood stays relatively quiet on Fridays. Neighbors and friends gather together and relax on the porch or grill out in the yard. On a more adventurous night, locals will grab a bite to eat at a local restaurant before seeing a concert at Bojangles' Coliseum, Oven Auditorium, or Smokey Joe's Cafe.
The Perfect Sunday
Randolph Road Park is a popular destination with several baseballs fields as well as a scenic lake and green space for hosting picnics. The Mint Museum Randolph is also nearby, showcasing international art as well as live entertainment and educational programs. Residents may also catch a Panthers or Hornets game somewhere in the neighborhood or a few miles away in Uptown.
