Hallsley has a year-round calendar of events for all ages and interests. The swimming pool is home to swim and water fitness classes, pool parties and the youth swim team, the Hallsley High Tides. Family and kids' events are scheduled mostly around the various major holidays, though there are plenty of movie nights, cook outs and ice cream socials. Adults also enjoy a number of social events as well as book, garden and wine clubs. The Hallsley Hopper is a 14 seat luxury bus available for rent by residents for trips outside of the community.

At the center of Hallsley's $3.5 million amenities park is its beautiful clubhouse Residents enjoy sitting on the covered decks and sipping their drinks from the cabana bar while others play in the expansive pool. A treehouse playground and playhouse village offer hours of fun and exploration for the kids. Tennis and sand volleyball courts are steps away. Just across the road from clubhouse is the Central Bark dog park which has a ball field for playing fetch and agility obstacles. Next door to the park is a stocked, catch-and-release pond complete with a dock and gazebo. The schools in the area belong to the Chesterfield County Public Schools System.
