Family Friendly neighborhood

Prakash R
Hampton Forest is an extremely family, pet friendly neighborhood with many trails, walks, tot lots, multi-purpose courts, and tennis courts. Many of the residents are long term and form lasting firendships. Without the additional burden of paying for internal roads within the community (VDOT owns and maintains all the roads), and with a base of 557 homes, the HOA assessments are very low and less than $50 per month currently. The neighborhood community is well tended with neat lawns, home exteriors and clean sidewalks. The houses are quite large and most lots are larger than a quarter acre. 3/5ths of the houses are also part of the Hampton Chase Recreation Association with access to the pool and clubhouse rental. They pay an additional $50 per month. All members of Hampton Forest who are not members of HCRA have the ability to become associate members of HCRA as well with access to the pool and clubhouse amenities. The Association has been steady in maintaining reserves for maintenance and replacement of capital assets and participates in the mandatory 5 year Reserve Study for developing a 20 year plan to maintain assets. The tennis courts have a hard playing surface and are enclosed. Benches for seating are available at the courts. The multipurpose courts have a basketball hoop. The Architecture Review Board is responsible for reviewing architecture changes and maintaining the aesthetics and beauty of the overall community. The community is very close to Willow Springs Elementary School (walkway to school from inside the community), and middle school children go to Lanier in Fairfax and high school at Fairfax High. Close to shopping (the nearest establishments are Costco, Home Depot, and the Colonnade at Clifton with the main shopping area at Centreville a few miles down Lee Highway. We have lived in this neighborhood for over two decades and raised two children and made many close friends during our stay here. The HOA is run by volunteers on the Board and a Management company manages the facilities and amenities.
