Around Harper's Preserve
Harper's Preserve's year-long event schedule is geared toward family fun. The annual Taste of Summer event features live music, food trucks, and lawn games. Halloween Fright Night, Santa Stop, and the Easter Egg Hunt are some of the most popular. In nearby Woodlands, there's a whole range of events such as art fairs, wine festivals, and major music acts throughout the year. Outdoorsy types have a number of Harris County parks and preserves close by, ideal for canoeing, hiking, and fishing.
The community's master plan calls for amenity parks to be added as it grows. Currently, the West Village Recreation Center is complete and home to a beautiful clubhouse called the Pool Barn, housing a full-sized pool and splash pad. Also on the grounds are bocce ball courts, horseshoe pits, and a playground. A stocked lake, picnic area, and additional parks are just some of the amenities planned for the near future. Schools in the area are part of the award-winning Conroe Independent School District. Oak Ridge Elementary School, Vogel Intermediate School, Irons Junior High School, and Oak Ridge High School are the closest schools. There are plans to build an elementary school on-site within the next few years, as well.
