My son went to Fremont Elementary with high functioning autism, and overall the school's general response has been horrible. They demanded that my child was retested before holding an IEP meeting, and later on when my son was being bullied, they simply turned their heads away and blamed it on social awkwardness, even as he was coming home with bruises. The school's educational system is good, but it simply has no idea how to help children control their emotions, or how to help special needs students.

Teachers are fantastic. Great quality education. Excellent bus service! Love this school and how everyone is so caring.

This school's administrative offices are terrible. It has been nothing but an uphill battle to get my child registered. No one can even tell me when registration is open. I have to take time off work, yet again, to figure out what is wrong now with the registration process. The school won't help me, so I am trying to figure everything out on my own. It is easier to just enroll your child in a private school and forget about Fremont. Epic failure of a school.

This school is a true gem in Lake County! This school not only excels academically, but they also focus on the whole child, socially and emotionally. The staff is invested in student growth and responsive to any concerns that may arise. This is also a very parent-involved school. My children's favorite part of school is the Fremont Outdoor Learning Environment. As the school backs up to Forest Preserve land, the outdoors become become their classroom in the FOLE. They get to learn about the world around them not just in a classroom, but outside! Nature walks, wildlife, everything you can imagine with acres of land to explore as a class. Students also participate in daily P.E and a weekly rotation of Computers/Technology, Media Center, Music and Art classes. Class options abound with options for Full-day kindergarten, Multi-age classrooms and loop classrooms. This school truly is magnificent with too many wonderful opportunities for children to mention here.
