Around Jacobs Reserve
The community's Welch Park is home to its clubhouse and spacious aquatic area. There's a large resort-style pool and splash pad, so everyone has a chance to cool off in the summer heat. There's also plenty of room to sunbathe and relax on the patio. Across from the clubhouse is a playground in the shade of beautiful mature trees, and behind the clubhouse is a pond stocked for catch-and-release fishing. The Conroe Independent School District serves the community, and children living in Jacobs Reserve attend schools in CISD's Woodlands College Park feeder system. Each school within the feeder system is highly rated by a number of different scholastic rating services. College Park High School is rated in the top three percent of high schools nationwide by US News and World Report.
The community has an active homeowner's association that plans several events throughout the year at Welch Park. Just outside of Jacobs Reserve, there's plenty to do. Soccer players of all ages have a soccer facility nearby, which hosts a youth academy, adult pick-up games, and the Houston Dutch Lions Football Club. Motocross enthusiasts have a dirt track and school also nearby. The city of Conroe is host to a number of fun events, such as the Montgomery County Fair, Conroe Cajun Catfish Festival, and the Texas Wildlife and Woodlands Expo.
