Aside from the three lakes, there are several community amenities available for the enjoyment of Kendall Lakes residents. In nearby downtown Alvin, a wide variety of restaurants, grocery stores and local shops allow residents of Kendall Lakes to enjoy a quick trip to run some errands or to spend a night out on the town with friends. Resoft County Park, closest to the community entrance, is just one of over a dozen local parks throughout Alvin and the surrounding areas, providing residents with a wealth of options for entertaining outdoors. Kendall Lakes is served by the top-rated Alvin Independent School District. Mark Twain Elementary School is inside the community itself, allowing for an easy walk to school for any of the community’s younger students, while G.W. Harby Jr. High and Alvin High School are both around 4 miles away. Alvin’s parks department even offers preschool enrollment in many of the local parks buildings.
