Kensington

Kensington is a neighborhood in Philadelphia just northeast of Center City. Though deindustrialization posed a big challenge for the community, Kensington is finding a new identity as low startup costs encourage independent businesses to move in. The city hopes to recreate the success of Fishtown in the larger Kensington area and is making strides toward revitalization.
