Ladera

Ladera is a neighborhood situated in the rolling hill country west of Austin, TX. Conveniently located along highway 71, Ladera is approximately 18 miles from downtown Austin and around two from nearby Bee Cave. Residents enjoy proximity to the Colorado River, the Austin Zoo, the Barton Creek Habitat Preserve, as well as the multitude of shopping, dining, and entertainment options that Austin has to offer. Ladera residents rely on their vehicles for getting around the rolling hills west of Austin, but the city of Austin itself offers many bus routes, a rail line, and even express bus routes from the suburbs to downtown during rush hours. The community is served by the Lake Travis Independent School District. Bee Cave Elementary is less than a mile away, Lake Travis Middle School is around five miles away, and Lake Travis High School is two miles away. In addition to the proximity of the Colorado River and Lake Travis, Ladera is approximately 13 miles east of Hamilton Pool, allowing residents a host of options for outdoor fun year-round.
