I am not yet a resident but plan to visit this community in the next week for early 2016 residency. I cared for my wife at home for years as she fought Alzheimer's disease. I now must downsize dramatically from my 4000 sq. ft. home in Arlington Heights where I have been president of our Homeowners Association for 18-years. First of all the first reviewer should return to school, second he should learn how to properly evaluate a home, and thirdly he should learn proper respect for his elders and understand the true indifference of age. Chuck and I have lived at Lago Vista for a few years now and we love it! The first review on here prompted me to speak up for our friendly community and I'm not sure what the person means by we shouldn't be so "OLD"! We've made a lot of good friends here. We do a rotating monthly dinner party with a great group of people, we always have someone to meet up for coffee or just go for a walk, play some cards or go to the pool. We're happy and content here!

I was visiting for a few weeks to help my Mom, I am 51 years old. Some of the residents are very nice and some look at you like what are you doing here? Kind of a mix feeling on this community. In 4 years I could move here, but don't think I would because of that feeling. I feel my Mom's house is not build very good. When the winds hit you feel it in the house, and the windows that come with the home, not strong enough for these winds here. For what she paid for this house and the association fees, people need to be not so OLD and be more welcome like. All in all I have visited nicer communities.

My wife and I just moved in. We downsized after 40+ years in Naperville. We have only been here a week, but the people are friendly, the entire community is great, and we have had little or no issues with the home. We cannot see how anyone could be unhappy living in Lago Vista. Believe me - we have lived in an area with a Homeowners Association and there were old cars in driveways, garbage cans out 24/7, and neighbors who cut their lawn only twice a year. Lago Vista looks like everyone cares about their homes and it shows. We hope to have many great years here.
