Loring Heights is conveniently located between Peachtree Street and Northside Drive. This primarily residential community has a small-town feel, but its inner-city location provides access to surrounding amenities and entertainment. Most of the neighborhood’s commercial and retail options are located in the southern section of the community, near Bishop Street and Atlantic Station, and the small Loring Heights Park is situated in the northern part of this neighborhood off of Loring Drive and Garden Lane.

Due to its prime location and small perimeters, this residential neighborhood can be more expensive than some of Atlanta’s other inner-city neighborhoods. Residents here value the neighborhood’s quieter, small-town feel while still being miles away from the heart of Atlanta and right next to bustling Atlantic Station.

Loring Heights locals tend to head to neighboring communities for a wide range of dining options. Atlantic Station is home to a variety of eateries in the open-air Atlantic Station mall, and Buckhead is known for some of Atlanta’s best new chefs and iconic eateries, including Fogo de Chão Brazilian Steakhouse, Bones, and Aria. Nearby Peachtree Street also offers plenty of dining options, from casual cafes to upscale restaurants.

The Loring Heights community features an array of beautifully designed homes, active residents, and tree-lined streets. It’s easy to forget that you are just miles from downtown Atlanta aside from the view of the Atlanta skyline visible from this neighborhood.

Residents of Loring Heights have easy access to the nightlife in Buckhead, Atlantic Station, Midtown, and other nearby areas of downtown Atlanta. Buckhead offers a range of restaurants, rooftop bars, breweries, and dance clubs, and The Buckhead Theatre is home to performances, Broadway plays, comedy shows, and events. The next-door Atlantic City open-air mall is home to a range of restaurants, outdoor patios, boutiques, and a Regal Cinemas movie theater, and Midtown offers some of Atlanta’s best entertainment and weekend fun.

Loring Heights Park is located off of Loring Drive and Garden Lane and provides a family-friendly outdoor spot with a playground, pond, walking paths, and a shaded deck. Just across I-85 is Piedmont Park and the Atlantic Botanical Garden. The park offers tennis courts, soccer and softball fields, trails, a lake, and green space for picnicking and relaxing, as well as some major events throughout the year, including the Atlanta Jazz Festival, Music Midtown, and the Atlanta Dogwood Festival. There are a handful of pop-up farmers markets in the areas around Loring Heights, including the popular Piedmont Park farmers market, and attractions like the High Museum of Art are just minutes away from this neighborhood.

Loring Heights is bordered by I-75 and I-85, providing convenient access to downtown Atlanta. Northside Drive and Peachtree Street run along either side of the neighborhood, providing bus routes and connecting the neighborhood to transit stations. Peachtree Station and the Arts Center Transit Station are the nearest stations to Loring Heights, and downtown Atlanta is about a 15-minute drive away.
