Warning! Don't rent here! You will be living in a Flood Zone and the property is poorly maintained

Warning! The condo association does not maintain the property well. For instance, the parking spots have not been resurfaced in many years so if it rains a couple of inches ( which is normal in South Florida), your space could flood. The use to be places to leave your garbage on ever floor, but now there is only one. The washing machines are not maintained well and there is no change machine for the washer and dryer. The pool looks nice, but I saw a water change color from blue to green, which makes me question how well they are maintaining it. Moreover, there is no one to complain to if someone parks in your space, smokes next to your unit, has a loud party, or even attempt to enter your place illegally. The condo claims to be non-smoking, but many people smoke outside there apartments and nothing done other than post a flyer on bulletin board near the mailboxes. Only benefit of living here is that it is 9 blocks from beach, but there many problems with the property. Additionally, the security situation is questionable. You will see homeless people sleeping in and around the complex. The condo has an open design so it is easy to get inside it. I have never seen any security in the condo so your car and your property will be in jeopardy.

Flood problems (flood zone), lack of security, and rules are not enforced by condo association

The only positives of these condos are that it is near the beach. (9 blocks) and somewhat less expensive by South Florida standards. MANY, MANY NEGATIVES, here a list: 1) There is consistent flooding at this place and you are likely to have several feet of water in your apartment (if you are on the first floor) or your car will be ruined. (See latest map from city of Hallandale documenting 30 percent change of flooding over three feet over 10 years and flood zone map) 2) the complex is completely open and there is no security on premise. You see homeless people regularly outside your door. 3) Condo Association appears to be non existent. (People smoke in the building (despite signs not to), people will park in your assigned parking spot (no one to complain to), and cars park on the grass of the grounds and on one cares, garbage litters the grounds and is rarely picked up, no one to complains regarding noise (which is a problem), and lots of illicit activity in the area also. 4) The pool appears to be kept clean superficially, but I have never seen anyone actually check the ph or chlorine levels. I don't swim in it as a result.
