Around Magnolia Creek

Magnolia Creek’s inviting clubhouse is the center point for much of the fun in the community. Its 3,500 square feet include a well-equipped fitness center, meeting rooms, a media room, and a playroom. It’s a great place for casual parties with neighbors or club meetings, and there’s also a catering kitchen for prepping light meals and snacks. The most popular place in Magnolia Creek, however, is behind the clubhouse in the aquatics area. The area features a junior Olympic pool, a resort-style pool and an amazing splash pad for younger children. Golfers living in Magnolia Creek may want to consider joining the Magnolia Creek Golf Club. Membership is not automatic for residents, but living next to a 27-hole golf course may prove to be irresistible. The club includes a fully-stocked pro shop, a 22-acre practice facility and a grill. The Clear Creek Independent School District serves the area. Gilmore Elementary, Victory Lakes Intermediate, and Clear Springs High are the closest schools to Magnolia Creek. They receive excellent ratings from several state and national school ranking services. Clear Springs High School has been recognized by US News & World Report as being in the top 10 percent of high schools in the US.

Living close to Houston, there are many big city things to see and do, but there are also plenty of activities and events close to home. League City’s parks and recreation department offers a robust menu of youth activities, with some programs starting as young as three years old. Various independent youth sports programs covering the full spectrum of athletics are available, and Big League Dreams Sports Park, specializing in adult sports leagues, is a few minutes from Magnolia just off of the freeway. The park features scaled-down replicas of some of baseball’s most famous parks, so players can live out their baseball fantasies. Aside from athletics, there are quite a few other activities in and around League City. Nature lovers can find great tours and trails at the Armand Bayou. NASA’s Space Center is a must-see for anyone interested in the US space program, and there are a number of nearby sailboat charters offering cruises that last from a couple of hours to a weekend. For casual entertainment, there are plenty of restaurants, movie theaters, and a large shopping mall along the freeway. Events in League City and neighboring communities are what one would expect from a small town. Holidays like the Fourth of July and Christmas are celebrated with parades, ceremonies, and parties. Art and music festivals happen several times a year, and the concerts and major league sports events of Houston are usually about a 30-minute trip from Magnolia Creek, so residents truly get the best of both big city and small town living.
