Garden City High School

We've had mostly exceptional care at Garden City with our child. Occasionally I wish it was better organized but as to the education and teacher involvement with my child, we couldn't have asked for better.

I went here my kids go here. It's a total joke I could write a book (no thanks to my education at gcps)about just how messed up it is. The communication is non existent and when they do its a blame game or I get to hear about how long they have been teaching. No return phone calls no returned e-mails. My wife and I have had to pretty much beat the door down to get answers. The total lack of any real responsibility or professionalism is astounding at a level that borders neglect.

I have had kids in the garden city school system since 2003 and have NEVER had any problems. My kids have had excellent teachers thus far and I look forward to the next year. I have a child in the 4th grade and a child in 9th grade and both are doing great.

Very unprofessional! This school does not assess the problem of bullying. I once brought it to the school's attention that I was being bullied and did not want to attend a class where 5 other girls were going to "jump" me, and the response of the secretary and associate principal shocked me! They stated that they didn't have the time nor the patience to deal with any problems I had. Many teachers also do not solve any bullying issues! My sister was being threatened during class and the teacher did absolutely NOTHING about it.. after that same class, my sister was attacked from behind and the school blamed the whole incident on her! A word of advice would be to avoid attending this school.
