Excellent. We wouldn't send our children anywhere else.

My daughter is a student at Carlson and is bullied. The school is not doing enough to handle the situation. The girl was suspended, but continues to intimidate my daughter. I would not recommend sending your children here. I feel that enrollment numbers are too high and the children suffer, the taxes here are high as well and the district is not doing well financially.

We have a lot of really great students here at Carlson. Students are nice, and we have a great school climate and atmosphere. At CHS, we have a program called PBIS, for Positive Behavior Intervention Systems, that promotes positive behavior and comradery among students. The program has many parts, but for one part we have our "Marauder Captains," who are some of our best juniors and seniors, and they mentor the incoming freshman and incoming students. Since we have started the program, I have seen a positive difference in the school atmosphere and student behavior. I really enjoy teaching here and being a part of the school community.

The school puts more weight in sports rather then a education! An eye sore of a multi million dollar football stadium that out does one a ferris state university.( they cant even up keep) it seems like they are trying to be another grosse ile....without the $$$! I withdrew my son from school on a friday and enrolled him back in florida..... The school in florida sent 4 faxes and 3 voice messages with no reply after 3 days i had to call the school to put a fire under the office to fax info to Florida. I found out after speeking administrators i found out that the HS decided not to replace a counseling Secretary but to keep one in the athletic office I guess the athlectic director is more important then the students!!! If you are looking to move here for the schools..... Look elsewhere!! Grosse ile or Trenton would be my suggestion!!!
