Teachers do not care about students education, they're only in it for the money. Many people try to use the reasoning "it's a diverse high school" as an escape goat for it's enormous issues. What good does a diverse high school do when you're attending school and not learning, being prepared for college, etc? Don't get me wrong, the school isn't the worst of the worst, but I am sick and tired of people defending it just because it is "diverse."

I have no idea why HHS is portrayed as a "bad" or "below average" school. It's an amazing place to learn and seek knowledge. Everyone is welcome here and typically no one is ever looked down for their differences. People fit in, one way or the other. As for teachers and staff, they do their jobs to the fullest and make sure students can reach most potential. Students can achieve anything they wish to. All it takes is the hard work.

I am currently a student at Hamtramck High. From what I experience, the school and staff are excellent! The teachers go above and beyond to help kids as much as possible. These are the type of teachers that care about or education. They are the type that are willing to stay after school just to help us students if we need. The problem is many of our fellow classmates are ignorant and careless. Some of us don't take advantage of all the opportunities that are given to us. All the chances that are given to us to be successful are taken for granted. Therefore I think it is unfair that the whole school, including the great teachers and other staff members are punished and criticized due to the lack of effort from some careless students.
