the really love sexton, I love the mix of race and how some kids r welcoming at the school. they take rules seriously!!!!!!. they also try to fix issues the best as they can . I would rate the teachers a 8.5 . they do give homework and some teachers try to help them with homework by using apps. I like a lot of things at sexton and I hope the reputation of the school with not scared new coming freshman away from this school.

I am a student in the eight grade and I do not like the school at all. The students are very disrespectful to the teachers and the teachers do not do anything about it.They allow students to curse, twerk etc. Almost all the boys pants come down below there waist and the teachers act like its normal. I'm fed up with the nonsense at this school. the principal doesn't do anything all he do is suspend the kids. Even the girls wear tight clothes, legging with just a t-shirt where you could see their underwear. They should be stopped at the door and told to go to the office to call home for a change of clothes. Also the bathrooms are hideous these girls are a mess and I guess nobody is going to clean them.

J.W. Sexton high-school is one of the WORST schools I have ever went too! The students basically take over the class while the teachers do nothing, kids are always on their phone, and the security guards don't do anything. The teachers don't teach the students anything, the only person that really does their job is the counseler in the annex. Also, I think that it is a bad idea to have 7th and 8th graders with high-schoolers because the kids threaten the other kids saying they are going to get their big sister and big brother on you that is in the high-school. NO-ONE SHOULD SEND THEIR CHILD HERE!

Worst school I ever worked at. I was a frequent substitute teacher at Sexton and gave up after three years. I watched how teachers desperately have to compete with student's electronic devices which are always in use. Giving out instruction is pointless and students ask only in the last five minutes what was covered in class that period because they were too glued to texting to bother with listening and watching. Majority of students very rude and argumentative to guest teachers. Principal does little, detention forms go into trash. Rude students continue to be rude. Security a joke. What a waste of a good teaching staff.
