Dakota High School

Pretty Good !I would recommend it . Coming from middle school did well but first semester was rough .

There is a culture of disrespect at this school, from the administrators to the teachers to the parents and kids. The school and classes are crowded. Many tout the athletics at this school, but unless your child is an exceptional athlete and willing to stick to one sport year round, he/she will not play. You are better off at neighboring Utica Community Schools, where there is more emphasis on college prep and smaller classes.

Great variety of classes offered. Great area.

The climate of the school is amazing, as are the many varied programs offered. From the Fine Arts to the Athletics, the programs offer the student population a chance to succeed within and out of the walls of the physical plant. Tour the building, meet the staff, talk to the students...they are all approachable, and caring individuals. Kudos to Dakota for taking what can seem like a sea of craziness and turn it in to something amazing for each and every student.
