This school prioritizes seniority over adaptability and it's extremely disappointing. One particular teacher cannot even effectively teach her students the same material she has taught for decades, yet another young and effective teacher was fired due to this positioning. Lamphere fails to prioritize its students and almost never acknowledges the problems at hand. I would not send my children here when I one day bear my own. However, Lamphere being a smaller school builds great community for new students introduced into the environment. In other words, if you're looking for proper and engaging teachers, choose wisely. In the case that any parent ever has to send their child here, be cautious and don't be afraid to make demands. Beware of the counselors, they are lazy and will fail to accommodate your children's needs unless you vocalize and make said demands. There are wonderful teachers in this district as mentioned before, so do not be too worried.

Overall my children's experience has been positive and prepared them for college.

I actually feel guilty for living in this district and sending my kids to this school. Teachers who are more concerned with having the kids as their buddy than being an educator. Teachers sharing their phone numbers with the students, and having personal text conversations.Cell phones allowed and used in the classrooms by the kids, but not for school related things. Kids who are allowed to tell their coach to F off numerous times with no repercussions.A creepy male teacher who befriends all the cute girls and makes them "helpers" in his classroom, then hangs out with them outside of school and writes them all even creepier private letters when they graduate. And apparently this sort of stuff is just accepted as "the way it is now days." No thanks!! It's inappropriate and just plain wrong. Oh, and I don't want to forget... the quality of the education is tremendously lacking.

There are some great teachers and some lousy ones just like at almost every other school. They need to improve on the ammount of time for lunch. Students do not get along there are many fights. They also need to improve on the english departments curriculum.
