Terrible school with no good extracurricular programs

I have seen such an improvement in this school as a whole over the last few years. 10 years ago, the main focus for this school was athletics and making the teams be the best they could be with not as much focus on academics. Now, the focus has drastically changed, and this can be seen in test scores and stats for the district as a whole. It is clear that academics have taken the main focus. Another improvement that has occurred is that the fine arts program has grown immensely. A lot of schools that have a majority of low income family students don't have the means to provide a variety of fine art classes to help students find something they are really passionate about to encourage them to stay focused and really excel in pursuing their education. While a lot of districts have been cutting these important classes (various band classes, drama, dance, choir, art, etc.), Madison District has been adding them to their high school curriculum. Kudos to Madison for really changing things around and becoming a positive for the community.

The high school has been nothing but problems for me. I've been attending this school district since kindergarten, and these past few years have been hell for me. I am a special Ed student, and they honestly don't care if I pass or fail. They literally have 3 "co-Ed" teachers for the 9th-11th graders, and they're all very mean, don't know how to help with things we're learning about, they yell when we ask for help, and much more. I'm now in the 11th grade, and I have all E's because they don't care if I'm passing or not. DON'T send your child here if they are in special Ed!
