Saline Middle School

This school is one of the worst schools I have ever been to. My grades are high, but the teachers are lazy on grading and don't care about our grades. In math, we don't have homework, and since the first trimester, all of the kids grades were impacted by the no homework because the kids won't study if they don't have to. Social Studies is the same. My teacher refuses to give me an a on anything. I followed the rubric and still get a low b or low c. Then, when I asked her about it, she just said that I did not fill in the requirements on the rubric. But when I brought the rubric over and had her explain it to me, she had no good reason what so ever. Now, in wood shop, I recommend to not take wood shop if you are a boy. The teacher treats girls like they are fairy princesses and the boys like they are working on a mine in the 1800's! Extremely rude to all of the boys in the classroom. That is just the teacher issues. Now is the environment issues. This school has a no bullying policy and a kinder than necessary policy. At least 3 times this year, this kid in my class has stormed out of the room slamming things and screaming curse words at other kids, just because they have his favorite seat in the class. And the next day, he is allowed back in the classroom, nothing done about the whole situation. This school takes the little things to seriously and the big things like they never evened happened before. If you are deciding on whether to go to a private school or this school, GO TO THE PRIVATE SCHOOL! Well worth it. Oh, and don't be fooled by this school being the top 10 best school in Michigan, they just base that on test scores and community wealth. In my understanding of this website, a little more than half of the students at Saline Middle School is above state average. Compared to other schools, that is pretty low.

My child has had a good education since he went to Saline Middle School. His grades were always High, he got very good teachers, and was treated like everybody else.

I attend this schools and its a great learning experiences they excel in cross country and track and i hope to see you here i love it!!!!!!!!!

Saline MIddle School has been an excellent experience for my children-academically challenging, nurturing and empowering. We appreciate the strict rules about clothing, gum, cell phone use, etc. as it sets a tone of respect. The teachers and principal have been approachable and enthusiastic. Our children have been active in band and orchestra, both outstanding programs. The proof of the quality of Saline schools is seen in the academic success of our oldest, who is now in his third year at a first-tier university and thriving. Not a perfect school system, but an excellent one.
