It is an O.K. school, I didn't personally like it because I was never given a chance to work at my full potential because the school bases things off of grades. I didn't like how the students attacked (verbally) because of their race, how they look, what they wear, how they speak, their morals and what they say. The teachers don't pay attention enough to students who are mentally struggling either, I have met so many people that have depression and aren't getting help from the school. But, they do give the help to people that had tragedies or need a few extra things to get them back on their feet. But, the social POV in this school is horrible and I'm glad I left.

Worst school ever! Do not send your kid to thus school, especially if you are school of choice. They will not treat your child fairly.

Horrible staff. There are a few great teachers, but several horrible teachers who are very unprofessional.

School is the place, where students should looks forward to attending because there is so much fun in school, besides the homework. Unfortunately, this may not be the case if you are minority in this school. Before going into issues, let me tell some teachers are really nice. Mr Ross is the funniest science teacher you can get. You will start loving science if he is teaching you. There are less programs offered in school compared to other neighbouring district schools. So if your child enjoy programs, then dig about the programs here before making decision of moving here. No one knows about Jornalism, Photography, there is not much art related activities here. Band is there, but more importance is given to High School Band so this program reallly lags behind, because Band director is shared by other school. Motivational activities are less. Students do feel good if the school selects student of the month, list the name of highest score achievers on TV or on Boards, does Talent shows etc. This school or may be South Lyon school district needs to address this to increase spirit. There is no diversity I should say. If you are minority you will be bullied everywhere, and it starts from bus till class rooms. Students are extremely disrespectful and use Racist, sexist and dirty language in bus without fear, they harass each other and bus drivers. It is extremely sad to see that South Lyon schools do not take strict actions against such students.
