Kent Lake Elementary School

The staff at this school, every single one of them, are tremendously caring and helpful. They go out of their way to bring a sense of community to Kent Lake Elementary. Each and every person that works at this school should be honored and praised for their commitment to the children and families that attend Kent Lake.

This school is a reflection of how public schools have declined over the years. They offer no language other than english in addition to instrumental music while many other schools do. They push academics just to improve meap scores, not because they care about the students. It is an oppresive learning environment with an egotistic stressed out principal. At a glance it seems like a really nice school, but many of the teachers are not happy and the students are treated like they are an assembly line. Most of the parents do not want to contribute to the classroom and the teachers have to beg for volunteers. The school lacks compassion for the "whole child" and only really cares about appearances. :(
