Moultrie Trails

I've lived in a community that's located opposite Moultrie Trails -- and the Moultrie Trails eastern-most border often caught my attention as I drove past this beautiful neighborhood. The gorgeous, aged, healthy Live Oak canopies along MT's outskirts indicated there was much more to come within the interior -- and that indication was SPOT ON. This community is so infused, so thick with long-lived, shade-making, protective Live Oaks (hurricane resistant & flood water-thirsty native species) and other beautiful flora that Thoreau and Muir would have put their roots down there, readily and happily. These gents knew good things when they spotted them -- and the most outstanding feature of Moultrie Trails is that even now, so many years beyond their times, one would never imagine that it has remained uncompromised, sheltered, lush, green and pristine. If you "Can't see the forest for the trees," you'll find, as well, that you'll barely see the Moultrie Trails HOMES for the trees. When you look long and deep enough, you'll discover that these homes go back to a time when tacky, cheap, assembly-line cookie-cutter home designs were not the trend... a time that preceded today's slash n' burn, barren, bland, pavement-infused, sun-drenched, toasted, blazing-hot developments-- the blight and ruination of all things natural and beneficial to native North Florida. Don't know the chief source behind the plans, design and creation of Moultrie Trails-- but whoever he//she was, that individual deserved to be awarded top recognition, awards and reward for the effort and and heart that went into this community. Moreover, he//she should have been designated the first, next, singular and FOREVERMORE developer authorized to build in St. Augustine. Just wish I knew the names behind the guts and glory that is beautiful Moultrie Trails.
