Austin, Texas Homes for Sale

About Mueller

Mueller is one of Austin’s most unique and forward-thinking communities. It’s named after the Robert Mueller Municipal Airport which was closed in 1999. Prior to its closure, plans were begun to develop it into a carefully designed, mixed-use community that would embrace leading urban-planning concepts such as environmental sustainability, diversity of housing opportunities, accessibility and more. Today, it has exceeded expectations in so many ways by winning multiple design and environmental awards, attracting a whirlwind of commercial development, and becoming a vibrant community with a small-town spirit. The community spans over 700 acres with 140 acres dedicated to public green space. There are a little over 6,000 homes which come in a variety of styles and include condominiums and townhomes. The commercial properties are mix of retail and office buildings with a number of major retailers alongside large employers such as Dell Children’s Medical Center and Texas Mutual Insurance Company.
