Sorry to say, I have been disappointed by the Administration and several teachers in their flippant attitude toward my child and their needs.

My son gained an excellent education here in an environment that supported his development into a young adult who understands how to show respect, support and empathy toward others and to appreciate differences of opinion and background. There are many extracurricular opportunities for students, and efforts are made to make them accessible to all students. As a parent, I found the administrators, counselors and teachers all to be accessible and interested in their students' success. The principal has done an exceptional job of developing a strong team and a cohesive mission that is student-centered and relevant to their preparation for the future, as well as engaging the greater community in supporting the school and the mission.

I disliked the previous principal who was there until about 5 years ago, because they allowed several teachers, two guidance counselors, and an assistant principal to falsely accused at least one family's parents of mistreatment., which was very inaccurate. Also, in my 11th grade year I took World History AP because I was led to believe by a guidance counselor that colleges would honor the class credit. None of the colleges I have attended honored it. Finally, Owen never prepared people for college while I was there.

I went to Owen all 4 years of school. I loved the size of the school and classes. The school was small enough where teachers and class mates remembered you. There was plenty of acitivities and sports for everyone.
