Piedmont Open Middle School

My son is incredibly hard working and is making excellent grades at this school, despite the schools disappointing self oriented structure. Putting aside almost daily phone calls from the school, weekly phone calls on Saturdays, constant requests for financial support, all while executing on a framework of operating that goes out of it's way to make it extra complicated for students. My son loves his friends and he knows this will ensure his entry into an IB Highschool - I just wish the school and structure actually lived up to it's score on this website.

I was a student at Piedmont for all 3 years. It is a great school. The teachers there help you to achieve your goals. I was a straight a student and never had a B at Piedmont. Thanks to tutoring and just plain old hard work. Piedmont does give a lot of work, and IB. IB takes time and effort. If you're willing to work hard, and stay open-minded at all times then Piedmont is a great school for you.

Piedmont was my daughter's first choice, over Randolph and Alexander Graham, and she has been excelling at the school! It has a required volunteer component, and the staff are friendly, communicative, and helpful. They are truly invested in their students and foster a great school spirit. This is her first year here, and I am looking forward to her matriculation.

I went to Piedmont for 6th and 7th grade before moving to a different state. When i got to my new middle school I definitely realized how much better Piedmont truly is.( p.s i hated my new school in 8th grade luckily it was only there for one year) ( oh and also i was extremely ahead in academics at this new school because of Piedmont) I dont think i would be the person i am to today with those two years. Just certain thing you will come across at Piedmont such as Pigman Mock Trial will really open your eyes and prepare you for anything! and shout out to Mr. MILLIGAN!! (best language arts teacher ever...seriously) This school teaches you so much that you wouldn't get from any other middle school in cms. I've been taught by some of the best teacher ever and met great friends that i still have to this day. If you are considering this school i would high recommend attending. It will be a middle school experience that you or your child will never forget. Now as a junior in high school i would still go back if i could.
