I would give them a 12, if I could. They had worked with me on daily basis and I feel safe dropping my children here. I am not from NC, but the people at Cherry High had given me peace of mind. May God Bless them. I suggest to whoever comes to this school to get involved, get to know who works in here. No just throw your child and assume that that is the end of your job, they are children still and the school employees are human, they are following what the School Board mandates. We should work together for the success of our children. We, all, can learn from whatever comes up. Grow. NG

My children and I had just recently moved in from out of state. The school building itself is not quite impressive. Teacher to student ratio varies, depending on the class but mainly it's high student number to only one teacher. Expectations that the school requires of the students are very high. Speaking of the staff, however, there is only one nurse and about 600 students but the nurse only visits the school on Wednesday of every school week. Questionable decision on the school's behalf if I might say. In one of my child's classes there aren't enough textbooks for every student to have one and yet almost everyone of the staff has an iPad? How convenient for the staff... also the curriculum moves quite slower and is not at all challenging, compared to the school my children were attending. All in all, if you were considering enrolling your child in this school I would strongly advise to look elsewhere.

We moved from out of state. Our child is now going into high school here. We were given wrong information on the accurate time for freshmen orientation. When we arrived already on his folder was written LATE. Already putting a negative label on a child. And there was NO name tags saying who the teacher or staff was. Unwelcoming to anyone walking into the school. Our children have attended great schools with helpful staff, teachers, and principals. I suggest anyone thinking of moving here I would not. I cannot say how the cirriculum is at the school. I am commenting on how well they welcome students/parents and how helpful they are when you arrive whether it may be to orientation or signing them up.
