My daughter is in first grade this year and even with so many challenges, the experience has been amazing. My daughter is excited to see her teacher, has been highly engaged through the zoom instruction and has even been on several virtual field trips. The front office and admin staff are super responsive and friendly. Im excited for my daughter to continue here! It is a warm and friendly environment.

We have a special needs child and have had the best experience with Alexander Wilson. Our son has excelled with the help of the teachers and special ed staff. They are just as much concerned with his needs as they are mine as a parent. I am on a first name basis with them. I am happy that they have helped our son to learn to read, do math problems and be involved with the rest of his classmates. The teachers are amazing, very dedicated to their jobs and the students. The principal and the vice principal are outstanding and always helpful. The vice principal ALWAYS responds to an email or a phone call immediately. They have always made me feel like family and I know 110% that they care about my child's education and adjust his learning styles to make sure he gets the best. In regards to the pick up and drop off line. The teachers at this school have this down pat. Our child gets dropped off in the am and then rides the bus home. Drop off is a breeze. Get there a few minutes early and you'll be on your way quickly when they start the unloading process. I have picked him up a few times and their system is amazing. Yes, there are a lot of people who do parent pick-up. So there tends to be a long line. But their system is wonderful and they get the kids loaded as quickly as possible. Let your child ride the bus if you are concerned with this.People who complain about the teachers and the staff should understand that these people are doing the very best they can with what they are given. The school systems are chronically understaffed and the staff they do have is underpaid, often times using their own money to help stock their classrooms with supplies. If you really want to make a difference in your child's education, volunteer. Get involved- this is truly the only way for the teachers and staff to know they are appreciated. This will help so much more than to complain about what they are not doing. You get more flies with honey than vinegar!

My son was forced to attend this school and I regret every single day that he had to attend. This is not a diverse school at all..the teachers care more about their personal conversations with each other rather than their students..they are rude and very unhelpful...the drop off and pick up lines are ridiculous just as the staff...please please close this school...I have contacted the school board in regards to a teacher bullying the kids...nothing was done about it...the principal gets paid to hide for the most part...its just a bunch of ridiculousness at this dusty dirty no good school...this was one and a half year of nothing positive in my child's life...we have made it our point to let ALL our family and friends know about this school...DON'T GO!!!! Move...request a transfer...anything!!! Act sick...play sleep...its just that horrible

Not impressed. Principal is never around and the school is a mess. Teachers seem unhappy. My child doesn't even want to go to school but I have no other choice at this point.
