A 3 out of 10 it's a joke! A waste of my taxpayer dollars! The worst school education I've ever seen! This school is ridiculous! They have even called CPS and a investigation was opened that lasted 3 months with me and my child! They even called school police on my child! Because they refuse to let her go home unless they searched her backpack? Nothing was found in her backpack as my child was crying and felt like she was being targeted.

I have been at Schofield middle school my entire middle school career. Some of the teachers are amazing and are dedicated to making sure their students learn and have fun in their class, while others are not as good. This school was really good when I was in sixth grade, but it has been going downhill ever since PBIS was implemented. PBIS is shown in study after study to not work effectively, and is just a further stressor on the already stressed students and teachers. In my eighth grade year, the dress code was made way stricter, which made it very hard for student, especially the low income ones, to find clothes to wear to school. We are not allowed to wear jeans with any rips, which is very difficult to find in many clothing stores and can often end up costing parents a lot more than it should. I also hope that the dress code becomes more relaxed after I leave. Middle school is a time for kids to start really finding out who they are, and their clothing can help them figure it out. But other than those few things, my experience at Schofield has honestly been pretty great and I am going to be sad to leave it after all these years.

It could honestly be the best experience of middle school or the worst, there's no in between. If you hang with the right kids, you could focus on schoolwork and have no issues. If you don't your schoolwork is out of way and your life is surrounded by drama. I've met a lot of kids here who don't care at all about school. The teachers here are 50/50. You could get a teacher who doesn't teach you anything, and LITERALLY stands in class waving her hands around for the whole period, not teaching a single thing about English. (I've been there). Or you could have a great teacher that helps you understand the things you need extra help on. (I've had a few of those teachers).Overall this school is what you make it to be. "Make it a great day or not, the choice is yours."

I go to this school and I've been here for 2 years. My teachers were very nice and my friends said the same about their teachers. Though they complain about homework, I can tell that they like their teachers. The other staff are nice too. I've been at in-house once and I saw how they worked throughout the day. The up coming 7th graders from the 2013-2014 school year are kind of nice. Though the majority of the student body cuss a lot. The clubs are nice too especially the Homework Club. That club saved me from an F. Their Morning announcements are sometimes hilarious and boring. I always looked forward to the Friday Fun Video. Some teachers are really chill and sometimes uptight. Schofield's Choir program is amazing. I've been there since I was a 6th grader and I never stopped loving it. Mrs. Fleischer makes it even more fun with her stories and lessons. I will dearly miss this school.
