Shady Grove El School

Very impressed with the staff and curriculum. Kids are given a wonderful learning environment and they seem to flourish. Love Shady Grove!

There are too many students in each classroom. This is a wealthy township that apparently isn't interested in having smaller classrooms. When so many of the children in the school district go to private school it baffles me to see 25 to 27 children in an Elementary school class. Worse, they will say the number is not representative as many of the classes have special needs students that aren't in the classroom all day. I think that is ridiculuous. If anything, a special needs student needs extra attention and therefore the classroom sizes should be even smaller!!!

Excellent learning environment that emphasizes values to the kids. The principal is exceptional and very engaged.

Great teachers. Only negative is not enough focus on class sizes. Shouldn't happen in a township this well to do. Shouldn't happen when Lower Merion and Upper Dublin are next door.
