Walnut Creek Middle School

The students are treated like prisoners and are never given the opportunity to be treated with respect. Teachers are often militaristic in their teaching styles and several lack sympathy for those suffering from at home issues. The administration refuses to take action in inter student conflict cases. Overall, this school idolizes those in athletic activities and is consistently cutting academic extra curricular, this eliminates the opportunity for learning to extend out of the classroom.

I attend WCMS and I think that this school is one of the best schools in PA! The staff here is so friendly and they teach and explain well. The teachers know what they are talking about and if your child decides to go to WCMS and they are confused about anything the teacher is talking about, make sure they ask the teacher and question these great teachers. Not to mention the school pride here is just out of this world and everybody is so involved in sports and extra activities. WCMS has great test scores on the PSSA's which is a state assessment . In fact Walnut Creek took 2nd in the state for the higest scores on the PSSA's. The PSSA's will test you on multiple subjects such as: Math, Reading, Science,and Writing ( Science and Writing are only taken in 8th grade) So what ever needs or qualities you are looking for, I'm sure Walnut Creek has it!!!!!!!!

I am currently a student enrolled at Walnut Creek and I think that this is an awesome school. There is ZERO tolerance for bullying and nastyness. I am actually pretty new here, but I still like it. The kids are all nice and everything. So I would recommend your child to be enrolled here! -Madison Kennedy 7th Grade

This school has its good and its bass, most of the teachers are excellent but the principal is horrible. It is very obvious that she plays favorites with the richer kids and the kids "that the teachers, parents and students can easily tell" who suck up to her and every time she rings her bell someone comes and caters to her every need. We come from an upper-middle class family and because we did not have the same views on stuff my children usually got the short end of the stick, they claim that the students are split up evenly between the two different teams, but it is pretty obvious that the kids the principal likes gets the better team and all the "others" get the fun team with easier teachers and classwork. Overall the principal is terrible but the students are majority good, but if you plan on coming here be ready to to start feeding the baby that is this principal of Walnut Creek.
