Homer-Center Junior-Senior High School

I believe Homer-Center is a great school. The school has received the 2008 National Blue Ribbon award and has been listed as a Bronze school multiple times in US News and World Report. The school offers a diversified academic program, the teachers are exceptional instructors and care about the students, the students respect the teachers and compare favorably to their peers nationally, in state, regioanlly and locally. The community support for the academic and athletic programs are second to none.

I graduated this school with no effort because the emphasis here is on sports rather than academics. All of the funding is leaving any area that doesn't have to do with sports. We had 20 year old French books. I learned nothing in the way of a work ethic because everything was so easy, and when I entered college I was sorely under prepared. Everyone else at my college had much more advanced basic skills that they learned in high school and I did not, even though I was in the advanced track. It may have a good community feel and teachers that will be your friends, but that is about it.
