Someone erased my comment....I will leave it over and over. This school is AWFUL. I wish I'd known how the staff treat parents and people who don't know their rules. Bullying, talking down to me AND my husband, ridiculous paperwork for being late 30 minutes when it wasn't my child's fault. I'd say now that I hope it changes or improves but after having my comment DELETED hours after leaving it, I don't think improvement is possible with the current school administration. This is by far the worst school we have ever been in during the almost 20 yrs we have been in the military. We are moved often and have been treated far better and have had far more forgiving staff as we try to learn the new school and rules. Don't put your children here. I am sure I'm not the only parent who feels this way. Live in a boundary outside of FCE if you can!

I have one student currently in this school and one who went here and moved on to middle school. The majority of the teachers my kids had have been great, two or three have been mediocre and fortunately none have been bad. The school had a much friendlier atmosphere when Mrs. Wagner was the principal. The current principal just doesn't seem to connect as well with the students, parents, and staff and seems more hands-off. This is also one of the West Shore elementary schools that did not make AYP last year but they aren't alone in that.

I am very pleased with this school. I went to open house two days before the school year started without my son a teacher assignment. Mrs Wagner greeted me at the door with a smile took me to the office and got my son an assignment immediately and personnally walked us to the class and introduced us to his teacher. Within 2 weeks of start of school they had my son pegged with issues prior to receiving any medical or prior school records. He started 2nd grade reading on a kindergarten level but will finish this year exactly where he needs to be. The support at this school is above average and I have always felt very welcome and encouraged to be in the school. As a single mom I feel extremely lucky to have a school and staff that is so supportive.
